Day 123. Dover, England.

Today's tour took us to Canterbury to see the cathedral and other historical sites. This is the seat of the Archbishop of Canterbury. However, there currently isn't an archbishop because he recently stepped down because he failed to take legal action against his priests who were abusive to children. The cathedral is huge and beautiful. We didn't get to see very much of it, but I was still very impressed with it. Several of us were able to "sneak" inside by telling them we wanted to go in to say a prayer in honor of today, VE (Victory in Europe) Day. So I got a couple of pictures, but nothing like I had hoped. There also were a lot of shops up and down alleys and streets. Czytaj więcej
