Chimney Rock State Park

After a quiet day at the resort playing Under Grove and Lorcana (games we brought) we explored Chimney Rock State Park, where some of the movie "Last of the Mohicans" was filmed.

We were there on 9/11 and overhead a brief interview of a local volunteer firefighter. He was wearing his fireman gear, as he does every year on this date, to walk up the 400+ steps to the top of Chimney Rock enough times to mimic the height of the World Trade Center.Læs mere
