Sagrada Familia

Ben & Lauren arrived around 4:45pm and we escorted them to the hotel so they could check in & drop off their bags. Then, it was back to the subway to travel to Basilica de la Sagrada Familia for our timed entry tickets. The size of the cathedral is amazing. A unique feature is that all the statues are on the outside. The inside also emphasizes creation and natural beauty, with the columns shaped like trees with branches that spread out supporting the towers and ceiling above. The inside is very open, with huge stained glass windows that splashed different colors of light all around the sanctuary. It was a beautiful time of the evening to be there with the setting sun shining through the stained glass.Leggi altro
