The Cathedral of the Nativity of Our Lady in Baeza is a landmark building combining Gothic and Renaissance architectural styles, with significant Renaissance reconstruction led by Andrés de Vandelvira in the 16th century following a roof collapse in 1567.

The interior features a notable 19th-century bronze and crystal chandelier suspended from the transept vault, a piece of artistic and historical value believed to have come from the nearby Jabalquinto Palace.

The cathedral is dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary and has been recognized as a National Monument since 1931, as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

During Semana Santa, it is customary in Baeza—as in much of Andalusia—for statues of the Virgin Mary to be dressed in elaborate robes for the processions, adding to the solemnity and spectacle of the Holy Week celebrations.
