    Getting ready

    Tarragona was the Roman Empire's capitol of Iberia from early 500 BC until it was captured by the Vandals then the Visigoths. They ruled until the Umayyad conquest in the 700s.

    The Romans built a city that overlooked the port, a key to its location. Today the port is the 2nd largest in Spain. The ruins are supposed to be in great shape and I am looking forward to exploring them. I will post photos.

    Right now I am packing for the 1st leg of this trip which is working in Barcelona on hybrid meetings. Meetings that are streamed live and on demand, by an in person or remote audience. After the meeting I will explore the museums, historic walks , La Boqueria market and tapas bars for several days before heading the Tarragona. I am blending two wardrobes into one flexible and compact list. Wish me luck!    Read more

    The airport waiting game.

    Waiting at the San Diego airport, flight delayed 55 minutes due to a runway issue with the incoming flight. Enjoyed a glass of Louis Jadot Meursault and a glass of Gloria Ferrer Blanc de Blancas at the Bubbles Seafood & Wine Bar in Terminal 2. The view is gray skies waiting to unleash their burden. On a blue sky day this must be a fabulous view. Texted invitations to friends not on Facebook and a post to friends on Facebook. Time will tell if I need to invite Facebook friends via Messenger.
    Flight to Heathrow is 10.5 hrs then 🤞 if I make my connection to Barcelona, a 2 hour flight. Arrive Barcelona on March 12 at 6:00 pm /18:00. Gate agent said they may make up 20 - 30 minutes. Knee brace is ready to go from Terminal 5 to Terminal 1.    Read more
