End of day one

We checked into a Quality Inn. The last 30 miles was with headlights; we both agreed not to do that again!
Since we started out later today than we had planned, we wanted to make it far enough south to be able to get through Chicago during the middle of the day.
I mounted radial tires on '35 Ford spoked wheels for this trip. The ride is much smoother...which makes driving a long distance less tiring. I am looking forward to tomorrow's drive.Read more
