After a 1/2 mile hike from the Visator Ctr we're @ the trailhead.
The accent!I would NOT want to ride on anything on this trail! Not at the top yet!!Great view of El Capitan. The section behind me is where I hugged the mountain to get up the trail! We made it!!Wasn't able to quite capture the 360° view from the top!A view from the top.You can see the Salt Flats off in the distance on the left.Another view from the top w/the Salt Flats off in the distance.View of El Capitan! The descent!Glad there was a bridge & I didn't have to hug the mountain here! 😳This is one of those bends that you didn't know what was around the corner. We made it down! YAY!

What a beautiful day for a hike and the 360° view from the top is awesome!

Guadalupe Peak is the highest natural point in Texas, with an elevation of 8,751 feet above sea level and a 3,000 feet elevation gain. We hiked 9.4 miles round-trip from the visitor’s center!Leggi altro
