Walking to Winchester

When we walked from Stamford to Southport, we saw dozens of establishments advertising eyelash extensions. Today, the theme was tattoo parlors. Also, we've ascertained that white men in Connecticut like to ride motorcycles, and are not partial to helmets.

We're staying at Motel 6 Branford. Room is clean and comfortable, but the hallways smell like the inside of an ashtray. We splurged and spent 4.99 to get premium WiFi. Turns out it works on one device at a time. The two of us were planning on using three different devices, probably simultaneously. But it's OK, the WiFi connection is so slow we aren't using it at all.

Decidedly limited dinner choices... settled on salad and a cheese calzone from the one food spot within my new after-the-day's-walk definition of walking distance. Flavor ok, and it contained about 2 pounds of cheese.

All told, Day 2 was excellent. Feet are holding up, sun hats are taking a beating. Tomorrow, we head to Clinton CT. Rain!Baca selengkapnya
