Leaf on the wind

Flew over to Trieste, instead of going further down to Greece and then up the long way through Italy. It's Getting a bit too cold and wet. Might be time to take a short breather, downsize the backpack to flying size and look for warmer pastures.

Trieste, Habsburg influenced city. It was not very touristy, even though some cruise ships start their journey here.
Many Cafés, bars and restaurants near their main canal with many broad pedestrian streets around it.
Invites to linger and slow down.

The seafront was quite damaged from the storms, and many parts on the way to the Castle Miramare need repairs.
Also parts of the park seemed closed, or at least the doors towards the street. So take the bus to the last stop, there is an open entrance.Weiterlesen
