Thankfully woke up to a grey sky with patches of blue and after a short deviation to the bakery ( which i must confess I am starting to follow Tims lead and call it a pie shop) we set off. It is amazing what a difference the rain has made to the forest-the undergrowth was moist and everything smelt fresh (coincintally i didn't have to follow Lloyd roday either which may have contributed to the fresh air. We did 43kms today and aside from a few pinchpoints the grades were moderate and we were off any major roads so a most enjoyable ride. Arrived at Yarra Hut at 12:30 after 3 and half hours riding Hut is small (12 person)but nice outlook. Looks like sharing with 3 guys heading southRead more
