Day 14 - Cardeñuela Riopico -> Burgos

After a long walk the day before, we have a shorter one ahead of us. Only 14 km to Burgos.
There's not much to see, just follow the road that goes through Orbaneja Riopico and then arrives in Burgos.
On the first part of the walk we met Pascal, my dear Camino friend, with whom I spent some days the week before. It was great to see him again. I felt very happy. We walked together to the entrance of Burgos, where we stopped for a coffee. We couldn't stay that long because he had to catch a train back to France in about 1 hour. It was time to say goodbye to this person who remains in my thoughts even after the end of my Camino. I must admit that I was touched by this moment.
After saying goodbye, we needed to walk a few more kilometers to the center of Burgos. And since we lost the detour along the river (the most pleasant one), we had to walk between large avenues and industrial areas.もっと詳しく
