Swimming in the Great Barrier Reef

Our final day could not have been spent in a better place. A major bucket-list tick-off. The Great Barrier Reef.

The trip out was a bumpy ride, with many of the passengers getting sea sick, but at the end of the ride we ended up out in the middle of the sea, with no land to be seen. All around us only sea and reef.

We took a trip around the reed in a submerged, glass-bottomed boat, then got in the water ourselves, swimming around the reef amongst the many fish.

The trip back, we stood together on the top-deck of the Catamaran, looking at the approaching coast-line, with the mountains and rain-forest beyond, knowing this was the last day and it would be awhile before we got to see these sights again.Leer más
