Hjalparfoss and Frostasdavyn Lake

Our first Icelandic waterfall. I think this one is a warm-up! Then we continue travelling towards Landsmannalaugar. Just before dusk, we come across some professional photographers who waiting for a colleague who has gone off to find his lost drone. Graham gets talking to one of them who suggested that we drone the around the nearby craters that look fairly non-descript from the road. From above they are rather spectacular. We were also able to get a view of nearby lakes. We still had enough light to see Frostasdavyn Lake - a beautiful and peaceful sight, before we reach the Landsmannalaugar campsite.Read more
