Hiking in Landmannalaugar

Words cannot describe the beauty of this place. I would love to spend more time here.

We began on the Laugahraun trail, turning to walk along the west of Brennisteinsalda. From here we began an ascent up the northern face of Brennisteinsalda before deciding to turn towards Blahnukkur. A small detour up a valley on the eastern face of Blahnukkur provided a challenging climb in windy conditions but with lovely views. The final part of the walk took us along the valley south of Blahnukkur and back to our campsite.Read more
