After looking at the weather forecast for the next couple of weeks, we decided that we would abandon our plans to continue up the Queensland coast. Instead, we will spend more time investigating outback Queensland. Our first stop was Chilligoe, where we could access the Mungana Caves National Park. Our first stop was to book a caving tour for the next day. We were lucky to get a cancellation spot for the cave tour we favoured (it's school holidays still in Qld). We then headed out to the Balancing Rock for sunset. The next day was our tour around the Trezkinn Cave. Both Graham and I agree that it was the cleanest limestone cave we have ever visited. We were definitely hot after the tour, so we went for a refreshing swim at the Chillagoe Weir.Read more
