We drove from Barcaldine to Longreach to visit the Qantas Founders Museum. On the way, we stopped at Ilfracombe for a coffee and came across the Machinery Mile, a wonderful collection of trucks, farming equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment from past times.
Kari got a quick wash and polish before we headed for the first part of our aviation tour - the light and sound show.
The next morning we headed back for a guided tour of the planes on display and the heritage-listed original Qantas hanger before looking through their museum.Read more
