We spent the night in the Julia Creek Caravan Park, where we had hoped to experience their artesian bathhouse experience. Unfortunately, it is too popular, so we just enjoyed the amenities for the night.
While the park is, in general, your average caravan park, the whole community seems to be making a team effort to provide a top-notch tourist experience. The park has ample and immaculate facilities, free Wi-Fi, free bikes, and free access to the community swimming pool. Every Monday night, one of the community NFP groups offers Bush Dinners around the campfire.
The Information Centre also has amazing facilities and engaging/interactive historical displays. We really enjoyed the Dunnart feeding display, which occurs twice a day.
We managed to catch up with Trevor Blackman today at our next campsite at Corella Dam. He shared his experiences of the places we are going to and some sage advice.
