• The Streets of Granada

    Much of Granada's streets are un-drivable. They are made of cobblestone and are not paved. Most include steps or terraces, or are so narrow a car physically cannot fit. This adds to the charm of the city, much to the displeasure of my legs and lungs. Granada is built into a hill, meaning all of the paths are uphill on uneven, sloping ground that is strangely slippery. Since these streets are made for walking, the stones are very, very polished, leaving for surprisingly slippery paths. I wiped out on some stairs (luckily was unharmed) and many places we slid.Read more
