    New Forest

September 1, 2015 in the United Kingdom

We drove 2hrs today to New Forest. Again, a destination in the middle of nowhere, yet so appealing. On the drive here we saw wild horses and donkeys and foals and it was so beautiful. We arrived at Joe's grandmas house and I was so blown away. She has made herself a home surrounded with flowers and comfort and greenery and memories. Again, i went around like an asian tourist snapping photos of anything and everything.Read more

    London Part 2

September 1, 2015 in the United Kingdom

After Fortnum & Masons we headed over to the 'tube' they call it over here. But to me it's known as the underground. After a few stops we were at the London Eye! How exciting! I cannot explain the views from the top of the wheel. The city looks like it just continues on for miles and miles. It was spectacular. I loved every minute of it. We even got a photo & some keyrings as a souvenir.Read more

    London Part 1

September 1, 2015 in the United Kingdom

We got on the train to London which takes about an hour from Brighton station. I loved staring out the trains windows into the green space that is England. When we got there Joe's mum, Lauren and I all went o starbucks and got coffees whilst we waited for Joe's passport to be sorted (he had a temporary one due to his previous one being defaced). After Starbucks we made our way to Buckingham Palace. Lauren told me if the flag is up, the Queen is in. That got me excited. It turned out being such a nice hot day, blue skies, cool air. Just how summer should be! After that we made our way over to Fortnum & Mason, through green park - which was ever so green. In there we actually saw Bill Nighy! I was so starstruck. I kept saying things like that just dont happen in Australia.Read more

We're here. What a breath of fresh air. What a reality check. How could I have never left Australia when there are such beautiful places in the world like Brighton. The pier, the old houses, the marina, the pebble beaches, the green fields that continue on for miles, the accents. It's absolutely breathtaking. Joe's family laughs at me because i take photos of everything but it's because I have never seen anything so beautiful. I love it here, I never want to leave.

We spent the first day in Brighton with Joe's family. That is, before they all left. All I wanted to do all day was drive around, taking pictures, sitting in one spot just staring out at everything this place has to offer. I honestly cannot express how wonderful beautiful Brighton is. Joe's family is so lovely and has made our visit very welcoming. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now.
