    Sunday Funday!!!

    June 4, 2023 in Spain ⋅ ⛅ 23 °C

Today was a marvelous day!!! We started our morning pretty early. Got Betsy up and ready for the day then headed down to breakfast at the hotel. We wanted to get to church at the cathedral before the Sunday traffic jam but we were not early enough. Fortunately, a really sweet couple let Betsy, Rob and I take their seats and they were really, really great seats. Very sweet people. Although, I couldn’t understand the service, I was able to use my google translate app to translate as the priest was speaking in Spanish. It was a really good way to follow along. After church, Betsy and rob lot a candle, said a prayer for Betsy and we were out to go to lunch! We went to this cafe right he outside the cathedral and had some yummy food! Rob and Betsy both had a caprese salad and I had spaghetti with prawns, tomatoes and pesto sauce 🤤🤤 very yummy indeed! After lunch, I took Betsy back to the hotel so she can get a good nap. We’ve been traveling a lot these past few days and it’s really important to make sure she’s: A) hydrated and B) well rested. We were all pretty beat since we didn’t get much rest to get over jet lag and slept the whole afternoon away! Around 6:30pm, we woke up and were leaving for dinner and all of sudden there’s pouring rain!!! Although we know in Spain, it could be a complete rainstorm and the sun will be back out in 10 minutes. That was kind of the case here as well. As soon as it stopped raining, we kind of sprinted to the famous Tapas restaurant. As we’re walking, heavy raindrops started to come down. I covered Betsy up with her poncho, Rob put on his rain coat and I did the same thing. We arrive at the tapas restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious (no surprise there) we had Pedro peppers, Patata baravas, grilled prawns, scallops…everything was really good. After dinner, we decided we should get back to the hotel and get some rest tonight. Tomorrow, we’re going to get the off road wheelchair out and work on it to see if it’ll work for when we push Betsy. Goodnight 😴Read more
