    Headed into the centre to see the mayhem really unfold. Hugely more touristy than where we were yesterday, lots of ‘authentic restaurants’ where you could also buy burgers and tacos lol, lots of locals trying to mug us off, somehow started getting taken to someone’s ’sisters jewellery shop’ further and further down some back alley quickly made a U-turn as was about to get weird. A lady physically took my hand and started painting it with henna, and proceeded to claim it was gunna be 800dh (£65 lol) - this situation birthed me and lu’s first official holiday domestic. But the energy of the place was electric and was like nothing I had experienced before. Sweet crispy almond cinnamon chicken pie for lunch and into the Jardin Marjorelle, a beautiful outdoor oasis, blooming with plantlife and bright blue architecture. Traditional Berber museum within the gardens containing jewels, slippers and tools of the Berber culture, as well as the Yves Saint Laurent museum (as he helped to restore the gardens) with an exhibition of Hamish Bowles’ collection - stunning. YSL briefly lived in marrakech and lots of later work was inspired by the cities’ rich colours.
