I never dropped LSD, but after a couple of hours in this interactive museum, I think I have a pretty good idea of what it was like. 😳

Martin, showcases the THEA Award-winning House of Eternal Return, where guests discover a multidimensional mystery house with secret passages, portals to magical worlds, climbing apparatus, and surreal, maximalist & mesmerizing art exhibits.Read more

An amazing meal from start to finish! Beautiful presentation and perfect balance of tastes and texture. Service was impeccable without being condescending. Look forward to coming back on our next visit.

Met a lovely couple from Massachusetts. They treated us to a glass of grappa which we enjoyed over pleasant conversation. Love this town.

  • Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monumen

    March 25, 2018 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 15 °C

The cone-shaped tent rock formations are the products of volcanic eruptions that occurred 6 to 7 million years ago and left pumice, ash, and tuff deposits over 1,000 feet thick. Over time, weathering and erosion of these layers has created canyons and tent rocks.

Scratch that. Park was full. They were only letting someone in when someone left. We were over a dozen cars back. Will try again tomorrow.

  • Secreto

Time for a nightcap. Smoked Sage Margarita, Orange Smoked Old Fashioned and Italian Mark At Secreto Cocktail Bar. The Orange Old Fashioned was brought to us by mistake. And the waitress gave us a Jerry Thomas Smash that a table of drunken 20 somethings denied ordering. Tasty and one of a kind cocktails.

  • Governor's Palace Artist's Market

    March 24, 2018 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 13 °C

The entire north side of Santa Fe's downtown plaza is taken up by the 1610 Palace of the Governors, the oldest continually occupied public building in the United States. Its front adobe facade is completely shaded, and in this "portal," the Native American Vendors Program has been operating for over six decades. A daily lottery ensures a rotating selection of artisans from the various pueblos throughout New Mexico.

Despite all the beautiful wares, we came away empty handed.

  • Happenstance!

    March 23, 2018 in the United States ⋅ 🌙 7 °C

We were headed back to our hotel after watching the sunset from rooftop Bar Alto and happened to run into two friends, Mike and Cindy, from our foodie tour today. They had gone seeking frito pie for a late night snack. They’d gone to a store in town which had advertised frito pie “As seen on TV” but they were already closed. They were told to go to Del Charro. We joined them for frito pie, margaritas and some wonderful conversation. What a lovely way to end our day.

And coincidentally, a fun fact we learned today on our foodie tour was that Del Charro’s Bar was used in the series Longmire. Phhhhhhh!

    Our 2nd stop.

The restaurant is in an 1850s house with a courtyard. The site originally housed a church as well as a brothel in the back that was being run by one of the reverends. When it was found out, the reverend was defrocked but turned adversity into opportunity and became a politician. The well outside in the courtyard had to be covered up for fear of it being poisoned due to the brothels proximity to the church. They dug another well inside, which is now exposed in the floor of the restaurant.
