Art expo Torshavn & Velbastaður

I was invited by Maibritt and Eivør to come to her art exposition. Maibritt is the designer who makes Eivør’s stage outfits, but also creates other beautiful things.

So I decided to take it slow today—watch some Netflix, do a bit of accounting, and stay in Tórshavn. The opening was around 16:00, and I dressed up for the occasion in a new woollen sweater, since that’s the high fashion here. Eivør sang two songs and then invited me to come to her place for dinner.

I was also invited to a concert by Jann Runi and Benjamin around 22:00, so that would have given us plenty of time for a nice meal.

Eivør spontaneously decided to buy lobsters, and it was such a cosy evening with her and Tróndur amazing lobster, some breaded fish, and a lot of goooood drinks.

Too many drinks, actually we were all super drunk, and I completely missed the concert. But the guys weren’t too sad about it; they had fun, and I’ll probably see them again soon anyway.

I went home by taxi and straight to bed. What a perfect night at Eivør’s place, and such good conversations.Read more
