• Wolfgang goes to Scotland

    13 September 2019, Scotland ⋅ ⛅ 12 °C

Our first night at Edinbane was dry with no wind and we woke to a bright morning with intermittent blue skies, white clouds and warm sunshine. We decided to drive to Dunvegan via the Watternish peninsula which was a three mile drive of very scenic views, nice little villages, art studios and a quirky cafe in a Yurt! We drove back up the peninsula to Dunvegan, not quite what we had expected and although overlooking an estuary, there was no real harbour. We then headed to The Old School Restaurant which had been recommended by Sarah and Andrew as they had enjoyed a meal there a couple of years ago. We enjoyed a light lunch with Peter choosing a salad of local blue cheese, caramelised walnuts, salad leaves, pear, apple and grapes with a yogurt dressing. Margaret enjoyed Cullen skink which she had been longing for throughout the holiday! We drove back to Edinbane, still in good weather and enjoyed a BBQ dinner, similar to the previous evening. We finished watching “Rebecca” on our portable DVD player and battened down the hatches for a stormy night!Baca lagi
