• North Berwick to Coldingham Bay

    September 9, 2020 in Scotland ⋅ ☀️ 15 °C

Awake early with the dawn chorus of wood pigeons and a blustery breeze but it was sunny. After an early breakfast, we left North Berwick and drove west to Guillane and Aberlady with fine views north to Edinburgh. We drove for a bit down the A1 and then turned off to Coldingham. It wasn’t a road we had been on before but Sabine, our SatNav directed us that way and it was fantastic. Elevated views in front of us all the way. We arrived at 10.30 at the campsite at Coldingham and fortunately were allowed to get on site and set-up. Then we headed off to walk via Coldingham to St. Abb’s Harbour. Warm sunshine but breezy and we sat on one of our favourite benches overlooking the harbour and enjoying our packed lunch. Then back to Coldingham and a restful afternoon. Margaret read her novel while Peter prepared a gourmet meal. More of that to follow!Read more
