Rio Dulce & Livingston

Meine letzte Woche in Guatemala habe ich im Osten Guatemalas am Rio Dulce und der Karibikküste verbracht. Am Rio Dulce hatte ich wieder ein wunderschön abgelegenes Hostel direkt am Fluss mit Hängematte am Pier und tollen Möglichkeiten für Kayaktouren. In Livingston kam dann nochmal Karibikfeeling auf. Hier ist die Bevölkerung eine bunte Mischung aus Maya und den Garifuna, die karibische Klänge und Traditionen nach Guatemala bringen.

I spend my last week in Guatemala in the east at Rio Dulce and the Caribbean coast. At Rio Dulce I found another beautiful hostel that was off the grid and right next to the river. Activities here included kayaking and hanging out in the hammock by the pier. I also spend some time in Livingston soaking up the Caribbean feeling one more time. The Garifuna people who live here have brought Caribbean traditions and music to Guatemala.Read more
