Vilnius; Old Town 2 and Jewish Vilnius

The Sts John Church Bell tower offers spectacular views of Vilnius; after that, Dzuigas takes us on a short tour of Vilnius University to see some of the many courtyards and halls, which are open to visitors. We carry on through the Old Town, reaching the southern border at the Gates of Dawn.

I then headed west and north to the Jewish area of Vilnius; before WWII, Vilnius was known as the "Jerusalem of the East," but most was destroyed during the war. By coincidence, we returned to the area in the evening for dinner - and the end of the Historic Baltic Republics trip.Читать далее
