Paraty - day 1

After 30 minutes boat and 2 hours bus ride we arrived in Paraty. Small colonial town also recognized by UNESCO. Paraty is small and charming old town. Small streets and canals reminded us a bit of Venice. This town used to be once very import port for transporting gold from Minas Gerais province to Portugal. Nowadays there are several festivals held during the year and tourists come here to try one the best restaurants in Brazil, visit Cachaca (local alcohol) factories and try local most popular cocktail Jorge Amado. Unfortunately it was raining heavily in the afternoon so we decided to skip the free walking tour and explore the town. We will continue sightseeing tomorrow 😉Читать далее
