• Torres del Paine - day 2

    8 de fevereiro de 2023, Chile ⋅ ☁️ 12 °C

After quite comfortable night and breakfast we departed to Laguna Azul. The path was again very bad so 51km took us almost 1,5 hours. We even saw rainbow and Alpakas on the way 😍. Laguna Azul is the westernmost part of the National Park and not many people visit this place. You can go hiking, camp there or do horse riding. We decided to do the hike to Laguna Cebolla ~ 18km long moderate path along the Laguna Azul over the meadows till Laguna Cebolla. It took us 4,5 hours to complete the route with breaks and we really liked the path especially the first part with the views of Laguna Azul and famous tower mountains. It’s actually the only place except of the Base of the towers where you can see it. From all other parts of the national parks the towers are hidden. During the whole hike we meet only 2 people so yes it is still possible to find remote place and hikes. On the way back we decided to stop in few places and not to drive straight to our camping place. It was anyway still quite early. Our first stop was Paine Waterfall 😍 we were almost alone there. Shortly after the waterfall it started to rain heavily so we could stop at any of the viewpoints… better say there were no views 🤣. Shortly before our camping place there is a cute island with restaurant (Hosteria Pehoe) so we got there some hot chocolate and then returned around 6 to the camp. After rain it got super windy and cold (below 10 degrees) so we really hope for comfortable night 💤😂Leia mais
