Santiago de Chile - day 3

It’s our last full day in Santiago. We departed quite early from our Airbnb and left to the bus station to check few things. Afterwards we drove by metro to station Baquedano. From there you need to walk around 10 minutes to funicular station Pio Novo. This area is called Providencia and in our opinion that’s the best area to stay in Santiago. There are lot of cool restaurants and bars and the area has a good vibe. There is also cool food court called Bellavista which must be great place in the evening. We had to wait quite some time for funicular. In just few minutes the funicular gets you to the top of the Cerro San Cristóbal with amazing views over the city. People either go down same way or can continue by cable car to the other part of the park. The area is huge, there are also driving sightseeing buses around, there is Zoo, botanical garden, 2 outdoor pools, adventure park ect. You can easily spend the whole day there. We bought one way ticket as we wanted to exit the part from other side and go up to Costanera ~ highest building in South America. We wanted to go on Monday but I read in the internet that every Wednesday they have DJ up there and organize summer sunset parties without additional fee.
