Holbox day 1

In the morning we took a mini van to small town called Chiquila and then ferry to the Holbox island. We were surprised that on such a small island trucks ect are driving as we’re expecting only scooters and quad bikes and no another vehicles. Few days ago there was a big storm which flooded several streets and brought lot of dirt to the beaches 🥲. Our hotel Zomay is located directly on the beach and we are sleeping in the cute garden bungalow 😍.

We didn’t do much just chilled at the hotel beach, drink several cocktails and enjoyed the sunset. Everything is quite expensive here and due to high number of American tourists they expect to get at least 15% tips on everything 🥲🥲.

For dinner many restaurants offered overpriced Christmas dinner menu ~ cca 100€ per person which we were not ready to pay. At the end we found very cute place with tasty food and drinks to celebrate Christmas. They even played Christmas music and we were sitting in nice garden decorated with light bulbs 💡🤩.Weiterlesen
