Holbox day 2

With the Christmas music and sound of sea we had delicious breakfast in our hotel. I tried for the first time in Mexico Chilaquiles ~ typical Mexican breakfast consisting of tortillas, red sauce, beans, cheese and egg. It was delicious 🤤.

Isla Holbox is part natural protected area and home of many species of birds and fishes including whale sharks. Very popular activity on island is to walk via sea to the sandbank Punta Mosquito to far east. It’s advisable to start early as from 3pm the water level will be very high and passing might not be that easy. The way to punta Mosquito took us around 1 hour one way and the water level reached at max. our hips. It was incredible feeling to be surrounded by incredible nature and be walking along never ending paradise beach 🏝️.

For the rest of the day we played cards, chilled at the beach, had some drinks, I ate giant ice cream 😆 and walked around the town. It’s nice to slow down sometimes and just enjoy the moment ❤️.Læs mere
