Philippines: Siar Gao

The surfer capital of the philippines with its cloud 9 had a different appeal to me all together. Local village and fiesta culture. I was fortunate enough to make friends with many locals/expats and experience a yearly fiesta, where people from all around come to General Luna. Everybody’s invited to join the party.

Other than that, the surfing was tough (I am a bit sick from the aircon bacteria) and the rocky ground makes for many a cut on legs and feet. But the waves are consistent and smooth, worth the risk!Read more
