San Pedro de Atacama

After a stopover in Santiago and a City Tour & Dinner with super friendly Alfredo, we were headed North and arrived in San Pedro de Atacama the next day. We spent the first night in the mountains, experiencing an incredible full moon in our "basecamp". After a lovely tour to the "piedras rojas" and meeting Frederik, a swedish ambassador who lives and works in Paraguay, we went on to enjoy Dinner with him in a delightful chilean Restaurant. We switched to a different Hostel the next day and it turned out to be a great decision. Experiencing Halloween in a desert town in the middle of nowhere with everyone dressing up in costumes was a unique thing aswell. The last day in San Pedro we rented some bikes and went on a mission into the desert, with the goal to get closer to volcano Licancambur. We didn't reach it but we still found spectacular Landscapes and enjoyed the emptiness of the desert. We left San Pedro and the Atacama desert headed for the Uyuni Salt flats.もっと詳しく
