*Ticks seeing tall palm trees off the bucket list*

We put Salento on our travel map so we could visit this palm tree valley, and now we're finally here! If you'd asked me before I came where I was most excited to visit, I would have said this place. And we did love our hike to get here, but I found walking at altitude again pretty hard and the 22 degrees pretty cold after the heat of the coast. Yes, woe betide the travellers. But really, still a fab day and Salento itself is a pretty wee colonial town famous for coffee nationally, with loads of lush greenery surrounding it. In fact, we're going on a coffee tour tomorrow just to cement our status as Edinburgh coffee snobs when we get back.
