Riding out Michael

Tuesday, we had a nice long drive from Shenandoah Crossing to Mountain Falls Motorcoach Resort in Lake Toxaway, NC about an hour west of Asheville. Beautiful country along I-81 from Virginia through Tennessee and on to North Carolina.

Along the way we got 2500 miles & a month’s worth of dirt washed off the coach, topped off the DEF and filled the tank in time to hunker down for the remnants of Hurricane Michael that passed to the south of us at Lake Toxaway, but still gave us about 24 hours of rain and /or 20-30 mph wind gusts. We were under a Tropical Storm WARNING for most of Thursday morning. No damage, just some coach shaking and trees swaying at 3200 feet up in the mountains. Czytaj więcej
