Urquhart Castle

On our way to our accommodations in the highlands we stopped at Urquhart Castle for a little bit of history and great shots of Loch Ness. We decided not to stop at the Loch Ness information center as it seemed to touristy and it is in town and not on the water.

The present ruins from the castle date from the 13th to the 16th centuries, so she is OLD! And she has lots of history so Google it as this is not a history blog. I just went for the Instagram shots! But it was very cool.Read more
