Icarus Rock

Ikaria is named after The mythological character, Icarus. It is believed that Icarus Rock is where Icarus fell to the Earth, when his wings melted. Some believe that the rock is Icarus, himself, while others believe that the rock marks the location of his death. Icarus rock is about 100 feet from the shore.
