Holidays at the beach

I had a short stay at Mahabalipuram (or Mamallapuram). A "beach station" town which is probably better to visit off-season than when everybody's here (April is the start of the summer, aka too hot, so it's a good time to come). Beach, waves to surf, fish freshly arrived from the sea, yoga, and rock carvings. Pretty nice for a couple of days. the sea is too hot for me though... I like hot water in a bubble bath :)

The interesting part is that we can see the coast between Pondicherry and Chennai being slowly covered by "resorts" and amusement parks of all sorts, but apparently a large strip of the coast is still reserved and owned by the fishermen communities who hold it strongly, aware that if they lose it, they lose all access to the sea.Baca lagi
