Argentinian lakes

Spent the night with elderly Patricia who has a tiny house on the corner of the street with a weedy pocket handkerchief of a yard in which we gingerly plant our tent. She is friendly and kind and not well off. We get to use her tiny kitchen (not big enough for the fridge) and to eat at her table and experience her home. The house is miniscule with a concrete shower. The toilet window sits between two separated layers of fibre board and the shower is home plated with metal panels. A good proportion of the walls are fibreboard - but it has a neat homely feel. Patricia sits and sips mate (stewed herbs drunk through a metal straw- in our list to try) and chatters spanish at us.

Argentinian cycling is famed for ripio and winds. We focused on winds today - a cold one at that - as we pedaled across beautiful and high lands between lakes and snow topped mountains. Finally camping in a beautiful lake side spot. Argentina is lovely so far.Okumaya devam et
