• Art and Galettes

    11. april 2023, Frankrig ⋅ 🌬 12 °C

A dark damp day turning windy and then Wet. We visited the “unmissable” Pont-Aven art museum, Pont-Aven having been a favoured haunt of several impressionist painters including Gaugin and his buddy Séguin. It is also famed for its Breton galettes (shortbread) which we failed to resist.

From Pont Aven we come back to the coast where the wind strength has tripled. By the time we reach Trevignon it's a deluge. Arriving sodden in Concarneau we skip the tent and instead deliver our lovely soggy outer layer to an especially nice hotel lady.
