Autumn gorges

We are working our way through the Bulgarian Rhodopi mountains with more and more vibrant colours of autumn. There are long steady climbs and then cool quick descents. We find regular water and picnic points along the routes, something which we have not seen in other countries this tour.
An impromptu detour reveals a narrow gorge that must be at an annual peak of beauty with wonderful autumn shades. Later, passing a small town of traditional houses, we decide that maybe we can be persuaded to defer the rough camping plan and spend the night in the town.Leia mais
