Tavira, Portugal

Today, we decided to take the 2 1/2 hour drive to the far eastern edge of the Algarve, to a beautiful town called Tavira. It is literally a few short miles to the Spanish border. This is a sleepy, relaxed town where we had the best lunch (cod in a creamy potato sauce). After lunch, we strolled the narrow streets and stopped for a coffee sitting by the river. Heavenly!
