The Grotto

The Grotto is an amazing spot off the beaten track. This enchanting rock formation combines a blowhole, archway, and cave. Offering awesome photo opportunities with the sea as the background, you can admire the Grotto from above or explore it at eye level via a staircase. We spent over half an hour here.

This charming feature has been formed by erosion from the coast and inland. Weak acids in the water slowly dissolved the limestone, first forming a depression or ‘sinkhole’ and eventually hollowing out the Grotto.Læs mere
