• Dip Falls and The Big Tree

    August 23, 2023 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 13 °C

Just like the Trowutta Arch it was 2014 when we were last here and the Dip River Falls did not disappoint, this super cool and unique waterfall with amazing hexagonal column rocks was gushing with water after the recent rain, which was very impressive. Yes, there were over 200 steps down to the bottom, but very well built with handrails and a lovely board walk at the bottom. You can also see the falls from a disabled access viewing platform on the other side of bridge.

Just a few minutes down the road near Dip Falls is The Big Tree, which is surrounded by smaller big trees and ferns, it’s a peaceful and magical place to visit, just to sit quietly and be with nature. Unfortunately, you are no longer able to get close to the tree, there is evidence that this tree is very fragile. Parks and Wildlife are not sure how much longer The Big Tree will be here, it probably will not survive another bushfire.
