Wild West Coast

Today we went exploring the Wild West Coast. The Western Explorer Highway isn’t the fastest way to get around the coast but it is the most interesting. Starting at Smithton and driving along through dense forest and button grass plains through the Tarkine Wilderness. Stopping at places like Donaldson River, Corinna to catch the ferry across the Pieman River, Reece Dam and Hellyer Gorge. At times stopping to put the drone in the air, we even saved an echidna from getting hit in the middle of the road. This is part of Tasmania that a lot of people don't explore, it was the prefect day.Read more
