    The Bay of Fires is a bay on the northeastern coast of Tasmania, Australia, extending from Binalong Bay to Eddystone Point. The bay was given its name in 1773 by Captain Tobias Furneaux of the Adventure, who saw the fires of Aboriginal people on the beaches. 

    The Bay of Fires is gorgeous, with its clear blue water, the perfect contrast against the white sand. The orange-covered lichen boulders give the area a surreal appearance.

    The Bay of Fires is rightly famous for its boulders clad in bright orange lichens, but the crystal-clear water and white-sand beaches here are also highly photogenic.
