Kuranda Scenic Railway 🚂

Our trip on the Kuranda Scenic Railway started at Freshwater Station. This was a unique experience that felt like stepping back in time. The historic railway station features fantastic architecture, stunning buildings, and stone flooring.

It was a great way to see the rainforest from the ground and experience Barron Falls. The train ride was smooth and very well looked after. The commentary was a welcome addition that helped us learn about the hardships of building this railway and the scenic surroundings.

We arrived at Kuranda Village and had lunch at the local pub before spending a couple of hours browsing the shops. Then, we caught the cable car back to Smithfield.Read more
