La Rame Guest House & Château de Mavalei

Finally arrived at our guest house for the next two nights - La Rame just outside of Chalais. Babette met us and showed us to our very lovely room. Gave us a recommendation on food which she assured us was not expensive, and then phoned and booked us at Château de Mavaleix which was 6 mins in the car!
Dropped our bags, and basically back out the door off for dinner.
Château de Mavaleix was lovely inside (a shame we only saw it at night time) and the couple running the chateau were charming and funny.
Had stonkingly brilliant food which anywhere else would have cost a small fortune - think the mains were about €15-20 which I guess is a normal night out in the UK.
Anyhow - ate food - lots of it, Teresa couldn’t finish her Pavlova unsurprisingly.
Then back for a very needed sleeps!!Meer informatie
