    Marco Island, Florida

    September 26, 2015 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 25 °C

We anorched on Factory Bay along Marco Island for 3 days. Cruising in here was a little nerve racking with the depth varying between 6ft to 9ft! After seeing the other 5 boats anchored in the same area we felt alittle better. This island has a strip of resorts, hotels and loads of beautiful homes with motorboats along the water but yet, a complete "ghost town." It appears to be a slow time after the season is over. We were able to dock the dingy at Rose Marina for 5$. For groceries we walked a few blocks to Publix which wasn't bad. There's a sidewalk along the entire way so I felt safe lol. Overall this was a peaceful place to anchor, thanks Active Captain!Read more
